My Background

I recieved the M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Denmark in the spring 1994. My thesis concerned neural network modelling, in the investigation of the glucose metabolism in the human brain. After the graduation I was employed in MAN B&W Diesel A/S who constructs large two- and four stroke marine diesel engines. In December 1994 I started as Industrial Ph.D. Fellow which is a Ph.D. programme financed through my employment in MAN B&W Diesel A/S and The Danish Academy of Technical Sciences. It is realized in cooperation with DSP section at the Department of Mathematical Modelling (DTU) and CONNECT (Niels Bohr Institute).

The Current Project

The project concerns condition monitoring and fault diagnosis of marine diesel engines using neural networks. The purpose of this project is to investigate the possibilities in an automatic detection of a beginning fault progress in the socalled Cylinder Condition . More information about this project will soon be accessible here.
